Jim has been working in metals since the 1980's, originally to create the bases for his stained glass lampshades.  For the past several years he's been applying the traditional techniques of chasing and repousse to his lamps while developing compositions on copper, brass and nickel silver.  In late 2007 he began working with sterling silver and quickly moved exclusively to Argentium sterling silver.

With recent training in engraving, he feels he now has the major elements available for full expression on autonomous Argentium sterling silver compositions.  Insects and flowers set in the scientific illustration format are frequent themes for his work.

All his pieces are professionally framed and set behind ultraviolet-resistant glass to enhance their presentation. They can be hung on a wall or set on a tabletop. He's amenable to select commission work. Listed prices must have tax added and shipping is currently free.
